Steps to Apply

  1. Submit a completed application along with the $45 application fee.

    If applying online, you may submit the fee through your application portal, otherwise please send a check or money order made payable to Biola University, with the student's name indicated on the memo-line, to the address below:

  2. Complete your admissions essay.

    Your essay prompts can be found in your application. Your application will not be reviewed until your essay has been submitted.

  3. Submit your official transcript(s)

    If you have 0-14 credits of transferable college credit: Submit official high school transcripts or GED scores AND any official college transcript(s). Transcripts from all colleges attended are required.

    If you have 15 or more credits of transferable college credit: Submit official college transcript(s). Transcripts from all colleges attended are required. If your transfer evaluation shows less than 15 transferable units, high school transcripts or GED scores will be required.

    Submit an official transcript from each secondary and post-secondary school attended, current through the time of application. Students who have taken courses outside of the United States must have their transcripts evaluated by an independent Credential Evaluation Agency located in the United States, such as the American Education Research Corporation. A 2.5 GPA is required for international transfer students.

  4. Submit your TOEFL scores.

    If English is your non-native language, please take the TOEFL exam and submit the scores to us. We are looking for a minimum iBT score of 79 (Speaking 22 and Writing 19). Please see the TOEFL website for that exam with more information.
    Transcripts may not be hand-delivered. They must be sent electronically from the school via Parchment or mailed directly to:

While we have no admissions deadlines to maximize flexibility, we recommend that you complete your application three weeks before your intended start date to allow time for application processing and possible enrollment. Contact your admissions counselor with questions.

FAFSA

It is advised that you fill out your FAFSA form (fafsa.ed.gov) early in the admission process. Be sure to include Biola University's number (001122) on the form. Once that is received our Office of Financial Aid can begin the process of helping you find the aid you need.

Admission Requirements

  1. Must be a Christian.

    The applicant's statement of faith will be articulated in the personal essay section of the application.

  2. Know your student type.

    First-time freshmen are students that have less than 15 transferable college credits. Transfers are students that have more than 15 transferable college credits.

  3. Meet the GPA requirements.

    Students applying as a first-time freshman must have a 3.0 high school GPA (less than 15 transferable college credits). Students applying as a transfer student must have a cumulative 2.5 college GPA (more than 15 transferable college credits).

Note: Our online bachelor's programs are fully online, so students are not eligible for nonimmigrant (F1) student visas. Also, our online bachelor's programs are ineligible to receive any institutional aid. There are no scholarships currently available for this program
